The Critical Thinking Unit Campus Program is now accepting applications for undergraduate or graduate student fellows to act as campus leaders across US universities.

Fellows accepted into the program will be invited to attend an expenses-paid training session to prepare for the coming academic year. Each fellow will be expected to plan and execute a minimum of two events that facilitate thought and discussion on their respective campus with support from the AHA Foundation/Ideas Beyond Borders team. Specific event topics will include human rights abuses like female genital mutilation, child marriage/forced marriage, women’s rights, LGBTQ rights, freedom of speech, and more. Each fellow will be expected to participate in a monthly video meeting with program leadership to discuss upcoming events, existing hurdles, and progress made.

Applicants must be currently pursuing a degree at a university in the US. Ideal fellows will be members of one or more student organizations, be highly organized and have a passion for human rights and liberty for all. The AHA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that advocates liberty for all by championing human rights and individual liberties above cultural, social or religious imperatives.

Established by Ayaan Hirsi Ali to put the ideas she writes about into practice, the AHA Foundation works to protect women from honor violence, forced marriage and genital mutilation. Our programs advocate for freedom of speech on campuses and in public debate, and amplify the voices of Muslim reformers.
