Renewable / Alternative Energy project (internship in a non-profit in India)

Internship positions are available for university students for their graduate academic fieldwork and academic research ranging from 6 weeks to 6 months. The projects include – mechanical pedal power, biomass, solar-voltaic, solar thermal, pico-hydel, micro-windmill, bio-gas etc.

ReEngineer India operates within rural and ecological landscapes, and amongst impoverished communities, developing small-scale clean energy technologies, products and alternative practices, to promote health, environment, and economic mobility.

Currently, we are working to develop multiple strategies and multiple products:

a) at the regional level, incorporating renewable energy in operational needs of a botanical and herbal garden

b) household level in select villages in western mid-Himalayas to bring into reality the renewable energy potential that exist in every rural house.

The goal is to increase the local production of renewable energy through development of those renewable energy products that are economically viable and socio-culturally acceptable.

The interested applicants must have an attitude of positivity, creativity and commitment to the cause of renewable and alternative energy. Alongside, one can work in secondary projects such as water sanitation and waste management, micro-finance, kitchen gardens and organic farming, children's education program etc
