Description

General Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily social media calendars in collaboration with the International Director of Communications
  • Create content for social media posts (blogs, GIFs, memes, etc.)
  • Moderate comments and engage supporters on all of our social media platforms
  • Organize existing digital storage systems and find ways to optimize them
  • Assist with social media analysis and write reports summarizing Animal Equality’s social media performance
  • Assist reporting on media coverage and media reach
  • Assist with administration related to expense management
  • Assist at tabling events
  • Assist the Education and Communications Department with other tasks, as assigned



Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, especially Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
  • Advanced computer skills including proficiency in Google Office Suite
  • Additional experience with Photoshop preferred
  • Experience using MailChimp desirable but not required
  • Strong working knowledge of animal rights issues
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Professional appearance and adherence to a vegan lifestyle
  • Ability to professionally advocate Animal Equality’s positions
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs
