The Economic Justice Advocacy Intern will work on challenging projects across the National Partnership's economic justice policy agenda, primarily paid family and medical leave and paid sick days, but also including fair pay, pregnancy discrimination, and sexual harassment. At the National Partnership, interns are integrally involved in our day-to-day work and undertake a wide range of activities. Activities will help interns develop skills needed for work in the policy and advocacy world, including legislative and policy research, analysis, writing for a variety of audiences, and coalition-building. Advocacy interns will track relevant issues, conduct research on topics of interest, support team meetings, and events, and contribute to fact sheets and policy products through data collection, fact-checking, and proofreading. Interns will also have the opportunity to attend briefings, hearings, and other events on Capitol Hill and in other venues around town (or virtually during the pandemic)

Requirements

Qualifications include strong writing, communication, research, analysis, and computer skills; the ability to manage multiple tasks and take initiative; the ability to work independently, and a significant degree of organization.
