We're looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Economic Development Programme. Economic Development helps SKIP families in Northern Peru create sustainable sources of income and provides them with opportunities to develop their business skills.

Under supervision of the Family Welfare Coordinator, Economic Development and Microfinance interns will be responsible for the projects included in the programme, such as:

  • Microcredit programme – issuing small loans and business consulting to current or potential business owners
  • Health-related loan programs
  • Construction program – small loan to improve housing
  • Business development and business management workshops, one-on-one consulting

Additionally, interns will assist in the children's programme at SKIP once a week by volunteering a morning/afternoon to work at the school as we feel this helps give additional perspective on the community.
