The Modern Language Association (MLA) seeks a marketing intern for summer 2018 to assist with Web marketing tasks for the MLA's wide range of outreach and social media programming.
Reporting principally to the MLA’s head of marketing and sales, the marketing intern will assist staff members in the office of outreach with landing-page optimization and pay-per-click marketing (Google AdWords). The marketing intern will also work on list development and updating, and other related tasks as needed, as well as participate in conversations about creative vision and marketing strategy.
The preferred candidate would have some knowledge of graphic design using one or more of the more common graphic design programs, such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, or Illustrator.
Candidates should possess strong organizational and research skills and be comfortable working with Microsoft Office. Particular attention will be paid to candidates with a demonstrated interest in the humanities and nonprofit communications and marketing.
The marketing intern will receive a $830 stipend every other week and unlimited-ride MetroCards for the ten-week internship.
