Paid Internship, National Coalition on Health Care (begin January 2019-May 2019)
Are you interested in health care policy issues, and being part of the conversation to find solutions to high health care costs—from prescription drugs to surprise hospital bills? The National Coalition on Health Care is a leading convener and coalition that builds support for solutions to pressing national health care challenges. We are recruiting for a Spring 2019 intern for 20 hours week at $15 per hour.
Assist with project management tasks, including organizing meetings and briefings, and managing lists and contact databases;
Assist in content generation on specific topics and health policy issues, particularly related to our Affordability report;
Support social media strategy and tactics to reach and engage targeted audiences.
As an intern at NCHC, you will be exposed to a range of health care issues, get to meet and learn from experts and stakeholders, review legislation, and engage in the legislative and regulatory processes.
Strong interest in, and some understanding of federal legislative process, along with a foundation in policy analysis based on coursework in economics, statistics, journalism, and/or communication. Strong writing skills needed. Undergraduates in the junior or senior year, as well as graduate students, are welcome to apply.
