The Mystic River Watershed Association (MyRWA) seeks a motivated and creative Media Fellow to support our community outreach efforts. The Media Fellow will work with the Communications and Outreach Manager to create video and photo content that actively engages our watershed community.
Responsibilities include: developing a narrative for each of our projects and creating media to support each story; develop social media campaigns using current trends and best practices; working with staff, partner organizations, volunteers and community members to develop and create media content. Active projects needing media support include:
- Mystic Greenways Initiative
- Water Quality Monitoring
- Invasive Species Removal
- Herring Monitoring and Education
- Stormwater Education
The fellow will work both in and out of the office, and must be able to work independently and as a member of a team. This is a stipend position at $3,000 for ~30 hours/week for 9 weeks.
- Experience in photography and/or film design and editing
- Knowledge of current social media trends and best practices
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Responsible, reliable, independent and flexible
- Driver’s license and access to a car highly desirable (mileage is reimbursed)
