Social Media Intern for Animal Welfare Organization

Global Strays, an international animal welfare organization, is looking for a visual thinker to work remotely with the president to help Monday-Friday with social media. The responsibilities will include content strategy, creating captions, photo editing, & posting on Instagram and Facebook. The president will be collaborating with the social media intern throughout, & the social media intern will create his/her own content based on current global news in animal welfare and information given to the intern. This position is remote and will require Zoom, a quality cell phone, and preferably an iPad.

Responsibilities:

• 1-2 hours a day for a minimum of 3 months
• Captioning, creating and brainstorming content, photo editing, subtitling videos.
• The intern must be a self-motivated visual thinker.
• Researching and creating content on current animal news from around the world.
• Engaging on our Instagram & Facebook accounts.
• Researching innovative ways to grow our community and be more interactive with our followers.

Qualifications:

• **Photo editing experience.
• Writing skills that capture the attention of an audience quickly and concisely.
• Experience with posting to IG & FB, which includes captioning, photo editing, IGTV, hashtags, reels, Facebook Live.
• Knowledge of/strong interest in animal welfare especially dogs, cats and horses.
• Some prior knowledge of video and how to create captivating video content.
• Knowledge of Spanish is preferred but not required.

**We provide training in photo editing apps but would like you to have prior experience with photography & photo editing.
