Job Summary
CollegeBound Foundation is seeking a part-time College Success Team Intern to support the College Success Team with office administration and processing student documents for this Summer ‘23, beginning at the end of May until August. This position will report to the Scholarship Manager. The Intern position will support efforts to meet matriculation, persistence, retention, and scholarship renewal requirements for CollegeBound scholars. The position will be paid a rate of $16/hour. A work schedule of approximately 24 hours/week. The work schedule for the College Success Team Intern will be in person on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 8am – 4pm.
Applicants should possess excellent organization and time management skills as well as the ability to complete tasks with close attention to detail, consistent follow-through, and strong task-tracking skills. Ideally, candidates will be collegial, dedicated, and patient and have experience supporting administrative functions and operations in the nonprofit and/or public sector environment with the desire to pursue a career in critical support functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
General Administration
- Administrative duties including but not limited to office supply ordering, email merges, database updates.
- Participate in CollegeBound professional development events.
Event Planning
- Assist with preparation for various in-person events for high school and/or college students.
Program Management
- Review scholar application to ensure correct renewal documents were submitted.
- Outreach to recent high school graduates to complete next steps to keep their scholarship award from CollegeBound via texts, emails, and phone calls.
- Input recent Spring semester grades into scholarship database.
- Manage reengagement of students who lost connection/award for the College Completion Program and/or a named scholarship.
Qualifications
Education:
- Current rising senior in undergraduate degree program
- Some experience working with/providing support to adolescents/young adults preferred
- Priority given to current CollegeBound Scholars
Other:
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for this position
