SUMMARY:

The Graduate Medical Education & Research Intern will perform Internet-based research, participate in quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, summarize information on medical education, and support the development of reports and initiatives.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The Intern will assist in or be responsible for the following:  

• Supports project work with relevant quantitative and qualitative research and analysis, including conducting literature scans and summarizing findings

• Identifies resources to be shared with membership and key stakeholders

• Assists with the development online resources for constituents  

• Contributes to the development of new resources and initiatives 

• Utilizes Microsoft Office products

• Prepares spreadsheets with data interpretation

• Aids in meeting preparation including meeting materials, presentations and logistics

• Performs related duties in support of project efforts

• Works with various databases and data entry

• Supports communication efforts, as needed

EDUCATION:

The ideal candidate will be a student pursuing a bachelor’s degree or a graduate student pursuing a master’s or PhD degree.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:  

• Must have excellent computer skills including knowledge of spreadsheet, database and Word processing software packages (i.e. Microsoft Office, SharePoint), and share an interest to learn new software programs. 

• Professional, courteous, and flexible manner is required. 

• Good customer service skills and the ability to work effectively on a team.

• Strong written and oral communication skills  

• Strong organizational skills 

Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work is expected. 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Normal office work with computers.
