Greetings from SAVE THE MARGINALIZED (STM) from KAMULI Eastern Uganda. STM is a non-profit, non-government organization working with marginalized people, especially rural girls & women in Eastern Uganda. STM was established in 2008 as a community-based organization and registered as a non-profit Non-Government Organization in 2009, with functional governance structures that include a board of five members, a senior management team and staff/volunteers., the organization start operations in kamuli District, supporting and working with marginalized women & gender based sexual violence, and also working with women to increase agricultural production for household food security and income generation. STM  currently operates in the Kamuli and wakiso villages of central Uganda, focusing on:

  2. Sexual Reproduction Health & Rights
  3.  Freedom from Violence and Human Rights
  4. Access to Water & Sanitation (WASH)

STM  works in an environment of constant change that inspires us to partner with others to achieve more. A key goal of STM  is to partner with individuals with common goal. We work through music, dance and drama which have reached thousands. We empowered families, trained youth on sexual reproductive health, offered economic empowerment,we have constructed a clinic and boreholes to support hygiene.

If you’re ready to effect worldwide change, one of the greatest ways you can make a difference is by volunteering for women’s empowerment and girls’ education. Despite making up 50% of the world's population, millions of women and girls around the world continue to be marginalized and regulated to an inferior standing in their communities, But women can do more to help their families and their communities, and in the process break the cycle of poverty. The solution is education which leads to economic and social development
