The internship/volunteer program for Summer 2018 is now open for enrollment.
We have a complete internship program that aims to provide real legal work to the student. Our interns get to work on real cases, long time projects and interact directly with our clients. Because of the complexity of the work assigned to our interns, we require a 2 to 3-month / 32-hr-week commitment. The internship programs include an intensive training that will allow the students to learn about the immigration issues we handle and perform as expected.
Under the supervision of our staff, interns assist our team by giving "Know Your Rights" presentations and conducting brief client intakes, communicating with our clients about their legal case; presenting cases to our legal team for review; drafting and preparing legal documents under the supervision of our attorneys and accredited representatives, taking declarations and assisting the team with legal research. The internship requires strong bilingual communication, legal research and writing skills.
If you want to apply to the internship, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your resume and cover letter letting us know your availability (First/Last day of internship and work times during weekdays).
