The Center for Dalit women (CDW) is a grassroots NGO based in Kathmandu, Nepal. We consist of a network of Dalit women activists, members of parliament and passionate individuals spanning different castes, geographies and political parties.Together, we have extensive experience of working at both grassroots and national political levels. We hear the voice at grassroots level and have the ear of policy makers. We are united in our belief that strengthening the voice of Dalit women is key to building Nepal’s democracy. Our aim is to provide an open forum for dialogue, bridge building and exploration towards developing a society where Dalit women and marginalized people enjoy social, economic and political equality.
