Development - Research potential funding sources: prepare spread sheet of applicable funders with deadlines, process, nature of the fit and guidelines, updating contact information in donor database. Support development team in preparing packages, creation of emails, writing grants and tracking reports. Support development team in drafting letters for appeals, creating mail merges, sending out acknowledgment letters, and updating donor database. Would also require general clerical assistance.

Communications - Assist Communications Manager in the development and maintenance of promotional materials and contact lists. Generate content and create newsletters, blogs and flyers. Maintain social media & email communication platforms. Coordinate and conduct family interviews to grow database of family interviews


Level of education: Bachelor’s Degree or college student

Flexible schedule to commit 16-20hrs/week

Required Skills:

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite

Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills

Familiarity with web and social media platforms (WordPress, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)

Strong planning, organization skills. Detailed oriented.

Enthusiasm for working in a fast paced, nonprofit environment
