Office Internships at Shared Hope International allow emerging leaders to apply their knowledge and skills in a professional, non-profit environment. Shared Hope interns are usually undergraduate students looking to make a difference and expand their understanding of the issues surrounding sex trafficking and policy change. Interns are asked to commit between 24 and 32 hours per week during the semester internship. Hours offer some flexibility, depending on program and course requirements. Course credit is available. All internships are unpaid but offer a monthly travel stipend.
The Events Management Internship is perfect for any young professionals looking to work in Event Planning, in particular with NPOs. This intern will assist our Senior Director of Training in tasks including (but not limited to) conference planning and support for our monthly webinars. The internship also includes less than 25% administrative tasks, consisting of information gathering and staff support. Special projects are designed and completed by the intern with staff guidance. This provides interns with a solid portfolio piece and experience in what project development and management looks like in a small NPO (non-profit organization). We encourage interns to take part in local awareness events, press conferences, Congressional hearings/briefings, roundtable discussions, symposiums, and other events in the anti-trafficking community that encourages them to network with leading professionals.
