You will help generate creative learning spaces for participants to engage with art, history, and their community. From storytelling to collaborative art works, you will be building opportunities for open dialogue, playful interactions, and idea sharing.
What you’ll be doing
» Prepping, planning, and implementing LEARN programs
» Prepping and facilitating art activities at Beyond the MAH events
» Attending all Community Program Idea Generating Meetings and participate actively in discussions
» Researching potential community partners and program activities for events
» Experimenting, planning and leading community programs for a MAH led programs
» Assisting in prep, set up, and cleanup of the event
» Actively and enthusiastically representing the MAH in the community

» Have multitasking skills, are enthusiastic and hardworking with excellent organization and communication skills.
» Are eager to engage with the community, learn about museum programming, take on a leadership role and creatively develop new ideas in line with our Community Programs Goals.
» Have knowledge or interest in Santa Cruz history.
» Work well in a collaborative environment as well as individually.
» Are knowledgeable in the following programs: Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Drive. Cherry on top
» Are bilingual Spanish speaking, native Spanish speakers are especially encouraged to apply
