The National Partnership is currently inviting internship applications for Spring 2019 from all qualified students without regard to gender, race, color, national origin, disability, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status or any other factor protected by law. Our program is designed for students receiving academic credit from their college or university; internships are available in our Health Policy, Reproductive Health and Rights, and Workplace program areas. This is an opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals, to work inside the advocacy/public policy community, and to advance issues that have a direct impact on women and families nationwide.
We welcome interested students to submit a cover letter stating your interest in the position and your availability (days/hours per week), resume and a brief writing sample to Internships@nationalpartnership.org. In the subject line, please indicate which program internship you are applying for, as well as “Spring 2019”. Applications will be accepted through October and review by staff will occur in November; applicants will be notified by the end of November 2018. Internships are unpaid but a weekly travel stipend is available.
- This internship provides a unique opportunity to participate in cutting edge work on women’s access to abortion care. The intern will get hands-on experience collaborating with key partners, analyzing clinical and public health research, and serving as an advisor to our Reproductive Health and Rights team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent research ability, strong written and verbal communications skills, commitment to reproductive health policy, ability to work independently, and attention to detail. Candidates should be pursuing an MPH or similar degree.
