Overview

The HR Intern provides administrative and operational assistance to the Human Resources Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a wide variety of human resources processes and build skills for success in this profession.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative assistance for all aspects of human resources operations, including recruitment, orientation, benefits administration, employee recognition and development, maintenance of human resources files using the HRIS, and special reports and projects as needed.
  • Provides operational assistance to help support a comfortable and safe office. This includes coordinating with the property management company to arrange for repairs, office moves, security and safety issues and following through as necessary.
  • Generate letters, forms, correspondence, and other documentation using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for a variety of HR and administrative purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements:

  • Undergraduate or graduate coursework in human resources, business administration, or, comparable fields of study
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite and HRIS
  • Familiarity with paperless office concepts
  • Ability to work with sense of urgency with accuracy and completeness of work product
  • Ability to multi-task and remain flexible to handle changing priorities

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend and reach.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.


All work will done onsite at RFF's office.
