Position Summary 

The FLA seeks a Fall 2020 part-time Intern to support the Affiliation & Capacity Building and Stakeholder Services department with the creation and implementation of resources, guidance, tools, and trainings that assist apparel, footwear, and collegiate licensing companies advance their social compliance programs. Reporting to the Training & and Capacity Building Manager, the Intern works on a wide range of tasks and projects that include: desk-based research, data analysis, e-learning program management, event planning & logistics, program communications and other programatic support. 


This is a paid internship for 20 hours per week.. 

 

Key Areas of Responsibility 

·      Assist with program & content development for webinars, trainings, and social media; 

·      Analyze quarterly data results (strong use of Excel) and produce reports; 

·      Analyze training evaluations (Survey Monkey) and produce reports; 

·      Research and collect disparate, hard to find information from multiple sources; 

·      Synthesize collected data into cohesive and concise deliverables; 

·      Assist with content development and communication for webinars,  and trainings, and social media; 

·      Write, edit, and proofread training materials and external communications; 

·      Plan, research, and procure training workshop logistics and vendors; 

·      Analyze quarterly data results (strong use of Excel) and produce reports; 

·       Manage and respond to inquiries from affiliates; 

·      Research and collect disparate, hard to find information from multiple sources; 

·      Synthesize collected data into cohesive and concise deliverables; 

·      Plan, research, and procure event logistics and vendors; 

·      Coordinate,  and prepare, and purchase training materials; 

·      Manage and respond to inquiries from affiliates; 

·      Assist with internal operational projects; 

·      Organize and structure capacity building materials; and 

·      Other duties as assigned. 


Qualifications and Requirements 

·      Undergraduate student with prior experience in consulting, training, sustainability, supply chain, sourcing and/or background in capacity building. Graduate student preferred. 

·      Interest in mission driven impact, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility (CSR). 

·      Strong knowledge of MS Office with an emphasis in Word, Excel & PowerPoint. 

·      Strong design, survey, statitistical, and/or programming skills.


·      Excellent oral & and written communication skills; detail-oriented &with strong organizational skills. 

·      Ability to take initiative and consistently meet deadlines. 

·      Creativity in designing deliverables and developing educational/learning strategies.  

·      Diplomatic capacity and desire to work with colleaguespeers across the organization—both domestically and internationally. 

·      Strong problem-solving skills; ability to exercise careful judgment. 

·      Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and design and survey tools/programs.
