Common Justice is seeking a Communications and Design intern who can help the organization build upon its current social media presence and graphic design needs.
Common Justice develops and advances solutions to violence that transform the lives of those harmed and foster racial equity without relying on incarceration. Locally, we operate the first alternative-to-incarceration and victim-service programs in the United States to focus on violent felonies in adult courts. Nationally, we leverage the lessons from our direct service to transform the justice system through partnerships, advocacy, and elevating the experience and power of those most impacted. Rigorous and hopeful, we build practical strategies to hold people accountable for harm, break cycles of violence, and secure safety, healing, and justice for survivors and their communities.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is equipped with concise written and verbal communication, and excellent time-management and organizational skills. A creative outlook and collaborative spirit are musts, as well as the ability to work independently and with a group.

This is a part-time position of 15-20 hours a week from February to May 2025. Hours are flexible, and this is a hybrid internship. Only students who are United States residents and pursuing their degree within the New York City area will be considered. Candidates should also be available to come into our Brooklyn office once a week on Tuesdays.
Pay is $16.50/hr.
