About ARCHIVE Global: Architecture for Health In Vulnerable Environments

ARCHIVE Global is an international non-profit organization that utilizes architectural design to reduce the global burden of disease. Working within socioeconomically vulnerable communities around the world, we apply innovative, low-cost housing design solutions to improve living conditions and health outcomes for the poorest of the poor. With projects in over 10 countries, ARCHIVE has directly benefited thousands around the world with improved living conditions and healthier lives. We’ve also reached over ten thousand people with training, education, and awareness campaigns promoting the vital connection between housing and health.

Internship Description

The organization seeks a Project Officer Intern based in New York to assist in designing and implementing international projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in researching and designing protocols for new ambitious projects around the world;
  • Develop and monitor implementation with in-country partners;
  • Liaise with US-based donors on ongoing/future international programs;
  • Review and provide feedback on proposals/reports. Draft proposals when necessary;
  • Participate in advocacy and/or representational visits, events and meetings as needed.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Public Health, Public Policy or related fields;
  • Demonstrated interest in international development.

Key Skills

  • Impeccable oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work well independently and on small teams while managing multiple priorities;
  • Must be able to manage multiple deadlines;
  • Good time-management skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Strong organizational abilities;
  • Detail oriented;
  • Additional languages preferable.
