Greetings from save the marginalized Uganda which was founded in 2008 by two professional and developmentally oriented youths (paul bamu and mary Aboti Initially, the organization was formed to assist the rural people and villagers get access to information, fight poverty, advocate for their fundamental rights and improve their health and socio-economic status and lives using an integrated approach especially through Information and Communication of poverty eradication.
STM Uganda is empowering the youth in financial literacy to enable them start up income generating activity to reduce poverty and create meaning full jobs.
STM is using a methodology of saving and loaning among youth to start up small enterprise in the remote villages of kabukye. We address the poverty among youth through formation of groups between 10 – 20 youth with a common goal of starting up small business.
Train youth in financial literacy more especially budgeting and saving to increase the capacity of the group in saving.
Youths are trained into small enterprises such as juice making, poultry forming. This will reduce dependency syndrome among the youth and empower communities with powerful generation of strong business women and men.
