About Evolve:

Evolve is a non-profit committed to restoring our democracy through smart grassroots organizing. We know there are no easy and fast solutions to the huge issues we face today, especially in a system plagued by big money and political infighting. We believe the basic building block of political participation is one person talking to another. So we are building from the ground up, one conversation at a time. We are taking steps every day to achieve our long-term vision of a better California.

We have been working for the past five years to lay the foundation for Prop. 13 reform to finally reinvest in our schools and public services. Through effective grassroots organizing--educating voters, organizing education advocates, and building a statewide network of elected and community leaders--we have made tremendous progress. Now, our coalition has filed a historic initiative to put Prop. 13 reform on the ballot. With Trump planning to cut billions of dollars from California, restoring over $11 billion to our schools and public services by reforming Prop. 13 is more important than ever.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for social and economic justice
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest and/or experience in grassroots organizing
  • Desire to learn and openness to challenge
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Minimum commitment of 12-15 hours/ week
