Description

The mission of the New Star Family Justice Center is to provide victims of family violence access to comprehensive services from one location. Through community collaboration we offer programs and services designed to empower victims to become survivors and break the cycle of violence.


We are seeking a qualified undergraduate intern who wants to build experience with social media strategy, capital campaigns, and is passionate about countering domestic violence in Los Angeles.


The qualifications include:

-Experienced with managing social media outlets (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and communications platforms (blogs, videos, event PR) 

-An advocate for women's rights and interested in learning more about countering domestic violence

-Available to work ~10hours/week to develop a social media strategy for New Star and assist during upcoming events

-Able to design and implement a capital campaign to hit fundraising targets for 2019-2020

-Preferably based in LA, will be able to work remotely but will be needed in office for meetings and events
