Purpose

The primary focus of this position is developing new partnerships with leading social change organizations, businesses, and foundations across the United States. This is a great role to build-out foundational professional skills and expertise in a fast-moving environment!

In addition to researching potential partners and contributing to communications development and data management, the Partnerships Intern will identify a specific area of professional growth they wish to develop over the semester.

Duties and responsibilities

● Research: Identify and build relationships with prospective Hosts across the U.S. through recruitment research, emails, attending events, and event planning

● Learn to identify and understand the talent needs of prospective Hosts in order to evaluate potential Fellow matches from our applicant pool database system

● Exceptional customer service to current and prospective Hosts through effective, timely communication that demonstrate knowledge of our Fellow selection process

● CRM Management: Maintain accurate Salesforce records of all activities and provide data analysis of dashboard results to pivot strategy when necessary

● Support overall programming through presentations and other conferences, networking events, and panels, including Fellow Orientations and Global Leadership Labs

Qualifications

● Customer Service – Experience in developing/maintaining partnerships by providing timely responses, active listening, and creative thinking [including retail or service experience]

● Creative – Brings a desire to understand mission and goals and think out of the box of new ways to attract and retain partners

● Team Player – Ability to think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends for departmental goals; willing to jump in and help other departments as needed

● Tech Savvy – Knowledge of and/or the ability to quickly become familiar with Google applications, Salesforce, and maintain organized data entries 

● Action Oriented – Enjoys working hard and working towards stretch goals; able to act and react as necessary, even if limited information is available

● International – Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills; proven ability to interact effectively with people of diverse cultures and backgrounds; multilingual is a plus
