TIME'S UP! is a 30-year-old non-profit grassroots environmental organization located in New York City. Time's Up! organizes hundreds of educational workshops, events, and campaigns to promote environmental sustainability. We are currently seeking summer interns for the following positions:


COMMUNITY GARDEN COORDINATOR Intern

  • TIME'S UP works with community gardeners in the East Village to start new community gardens, clean up existing community gardens, and work on community garden legislation. We are looking for someone to help participate in and promote our work days, and maintain our garden committee e-mail list. Let’s plant some seeds and make New York green.

ASSISTANT TO THE DIRECTOR Intern

  • The Assistant to the Director position involves assisting with a variety of different activities including but not limited to: setting up events, managing spaces, organizing committees and meetings, and networking with other organizations and volunteers. Please note that a significant amount of time will be spent assisting the Director with drafting, emailing, and computer work, also includes transcription of dictation. Applicants must be flexible, computer savvy, and must be proficient in written/ spoken English with good grammatical skills. This opportunity may involve working at several different locations in lower Manhattan (LES, East Village) and in Brooklyn (Williamsburg)

Commitment is approximately 25-35 hours per week. With a 3 days a week and one weekend day, 3 month minimum commitment. This is an excellent opportunity to learn how a grassroots organization can effect substantial change.
