Description

World Affairs Institute is offering an internship position to individuals interested in media and international relations. The ideal candidate should be familiar with international news, foreign policy issues, social media marketing, and will have relevant educational or work experience. Strong computer, analytical, and writing skills required.


The intern will assist in the daily management of http:WorldAffairsJournal.org, a website featuring regularly updated news, opinion, and research from media outlets, governments, and think tanks from around the world, as well as essays and blogs from expert foreign policy commentators.


Candidates should live in the DC metro region but will work remotely. Duties include contributing news research content to the website, writing headlines, photo image selections to accompany online essays and blogs, and other website content maintenance. Other responsibilities may include assisting in the development and execution of social media marketing, promotional writing, and other support for general marketing and communications strategies that promote the website's content and contribute to increased website traffic.


The Internship will begin as soon as possible. A stipend is offered at the end of the internship.
