Our network of over 3,230 active community volunteers led by our Full and Part Time staff members have helped thousands of individuals and families in need. We are currently expanding our Government Entitlements division, and seeking a qualified intern. Come join our growing organization!


This is an unpaid internship opportunity. However, intern can earn educational credits based upon the learning institution's guidelines. It is a tremendous resume-building opportunity to gain first hand real-world work experience at a 4 star rated charity.


Job Title 

Grant Writing Internship - Government Applications Coordinator


Job Responsibilities

-Assist clients in applying for government aid programs, such as SNAP (food stamps), Medicaid, Housing, Social Security, and other programs. 

-Identify and research public and private grant opportunities pertinent to our organization's mission. 

-Collect and maintain various verification paperwork from clients for government aid applications. 

-Schedule and conduct client meetings.

-Communicate and follow up with clients regarding government aid applications and status updates. 

-Assist Government Entitlements Director with administrative tasks. 

-Communicate with government aid agencies as needed. 


Job Requirements

-Relevant coursework completed or experience in the Grant Writing and/or Government entitlements field. 

-Must be detail oriented and organized with paperwork. 

-Good interpersonal skills. 

-Must have a strong desire to help underprivileged people.
