Position Overview
DRA is seeking passionate and hard-working law students to join our dynamic, results-oriented team. DRA’s summer law clerks work with our attorneys in all aspects of high impact litigation including case investigations, case development, law and motion practice, discovery, and court appearances. This work includes factual and legal research, drafting memoranda, writing portions of briefs, assisting with propounding and reviewing discovery, reviewing expert reports, and other relevant tasks as needed.
DRA offers law clerks frequent interactions with staff and numerous opportunities for both formal and informal career-building feedback. DRA's focus on thorough training and supportive mentorship provides an excellent opportunity to learn about litigation in a supportive public interest environment. Summer law clerks will report to a managing attorney.
Summer law clerks typically work in our Berkeley, CA or New York, NY office, however all DRA staff are currently remote due to COVID-19.

Compensation is available for those students who do not receive school funding. Students who do receive school funding may be eligible for partial DRA funding to bring their hourly wage to $20/hour. Arrangements can be made with educational institutions for work/study or course credit.
