About the Position
The Storytellng Intern will report to the Communications Manager and work as an integral part of a highly effective team to support BRAC USA’s communications and fundraising efforts.
Content creation (visual & written) – Author stories and blog posts and design infographics and other creative that illustrate BRAC’s successes. Draft reports on program developments for crowdfunding websites.
Social media – Support a robust social media calendar, in conjunction with UN holidays, special events, and internal appeal schedules, to engage donors and influencers and enhance social media presence.
Digital fundraising – Support appeal campaigns, from content creation to data entry, monitor digital efforts (including Google analytics, social media conversions, and others), and assist with website updates.
- A proven passion for international development and BRAC’s mission
- Superb writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to adapt writing to a variety of audiences, from the technical to everyday
- A thorough and demonstrated understanding of social media strategy
- Design and layout proficiency preferred, particularly with the Adobe Creative Suite
- A familiarity with digital fundraising strategies, tools, and best practices
- Ability to both balance competing priorities and communicate preferred working style
