Marketing / Grant writing Intern for small Educational NPO

Capoeira Social Project is looking for an intern to assist in the development and execution of grant writing and social media marketing campaigns for our company. We're a young small NPO/NGO and looking for a candidate that loves education, helping others, and hopefully capoeira.

The Grant Writer is responsible for researching and writing grants to benefit CSP.

We are seeking an intern that can work independently. The position will require a 10-15 hr. per week commitment. This is an unpaid internship. Students from any state within the United States are encouraged to apply.



Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources.

Perform prospect research on foundations, schools, and corporations to evaluate prospects for grants.

Maintain current records in database and in electronic files, including grant tracking and reporting.



Essential functions/working conditions:

Must have an interest in prospect research and writing grants

Must be able to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing

Ability to connect with others and develop relationships

Committed to the mission of serving youth and young adults

Ability to perform several tasks concurrently

Strong time management and organizational skills

Ability to maintain detailed records and confidential information
