Position:        Development & Fundraising Intern

Reports To:   Chief Development Officer

Time Frame: 10 - 20 hours/week for ten (10) weeks (February - May 2020)

Hourly Rate: $9.00 per hour

Job Summary:

Fountain House is looking for intern to work in the Development office. The intern will gain experience in a broad swath of development and fundraising areas including: annual giving, special events, major gifts and database management. We expect this position to include research, data entry, special events support, and proposal writing.

Job Functions:

1.     Research donors and prospects: individuals, foundations, corporate.

2.     Conduct data entry.

3.     Write and prepare major gift and grant proposals and other support, as needed.

4.     Assist with Special Events planning and execution.

5.     Assist the External Affairs department with other tasks, as needed.

6.     Other duties, as assigned.

Job Requirements:

1.     Must possess current and valid U.S. work authorization and be eligible to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship.

2.     Strong writing and communication skills.

3.     Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.

4.     Interest in mental health, preferred.
