Village Preservation seeks a highly-organized, detail-oriented, energetic self-starter to assist a growing, dynamic, community-oriented non-profit organization. This intern will be part of a cohort of interns taking on administrative, fundraising, educational, programming, and advocacy projects.

Responsibilities:

- Microsoft Office assignments working with Excel and Word

- Database entry and organization - Assistance in planning and executing Major Donor events

- Assistance in planning and executing annual fundraiser benefit and volunteer coordination

- Administrative duties including materials preparation, writing/copyediting, correspondence, mailings, filing, and supplies ordering - WordPress website maintenance and updating

- Collateral design work and materials creation - Assistance with video creation and editing

- Office organization and projects as assigned


Skills and Qualifications:

- Excellent with Microsoft suite (especially Word & Excel) and Google suite, and familiarity with WordPress, video editing software, Salesforce database (big plus), and Creative Cloud design platforms

- Driven and hard working - Detail-oriented and thorough approach to technical work

- Have an interest in the educational, programming, preservation, and advocacy work of Village Preservation as well as art, community work

- Extensive knowledge of social media for an organization: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube

- Video and photography skills a plus - Comfort working independently, as a team, and managing up to meet deadlines Be able to carry roughly 20lbs up and down one flight of stairs

- Be able to work roughly 2 days per week in our East Village office (COVID safety measures are being taken)


20-25 hrs./week with seasonal increases, with occasional weekend and evening work.

Internships are paid at $15/hr.
