Join the National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) in our efforts to end homelessness and housing poverty in America.

NLIHC is accepting applications for a Graphic Design/Communications Intern for the winter/spring 2021 (January to May) semester. Interns are highly valued and fully integrated into our staff work. We seek students passionate about social justice issues, with excellent writing and interpersonal skills.

This is a combination Graphic Design/Communications Internship position, where the intern will design projects such as social media and online images, bar and chart graphics, and fact sheets and update content on the NLIHC website. The intern may also prepare and distribute press materials, assist with media research and outreach for publication releases, work on social media projects, and maintain a media database and tracks press hits. Graphic design and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) experience needed. Applicants must provide 3 design samples (or link to online portfolio) in addition to a writing sample in order to be considered for this position.

Interns are expected to work 25 hours a week. Two-semester placements are possible. NLIHC provides modest stipends.
