An internship with Fundación Paraguaya offers an unique opportunity to gain professional experience in eliminating multidimensional poverty and spend time living and working in Paraguay!
The Poverty Stoplight Methodology, our innovative approach to poverty elimination, is woven into everything we do, whether it's within our Microfinance, Entrepreneurship Education, or Self-sustainable Schools Program. This practical methodology, a visual survey, allows our clients to self-diagnose their situation and develop personalized poverty elimination plans. It makes poverty "visible" by dividing the concept into 6 dimensions and 50 indicators and using stoplight colors: Red (Extremely Poor), Yellow (Poor), and Green (Not Poor).
The methodology helps our clients and their families to identify and measure their own poverty. Also, it allows us as a microcredit institution to fulfill our original promise: empower the poor so they can overcome the situation they are in!
