Medical Donations Intern

The Medical Donations Program Intern will provide administrative and programmatic support including data collection analysis, research and report editing.  The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced office environment, especially in an administrative capacity.  The intern must be detail oriented, able to multitask, and have strong data management and quantitative reasoning skills. The position will offer opportunities to develop program management and professional skills, while providing experience in a non-profit and business environment. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Verify the donor-reported value of medical donations in a timely manner (training will be provided)
  • Monitor database management efforts, compile and verify historical program data
  • Conduct relevant contextual research including: potential medical donation partners, best practices in the Gift In Kind (GIK) sector,  as well as healthcare challenges in Anera’s areas of operation
  • Copyediting reports to be sent to donors for various purposes
  • Data collection and analysis, focusing on health outcomes for programs
  • Create visuals with Excel and other data visualization platforms
  • Edit seasonal and annual reports for various programs
  • Conduct research, both technical and financial, for business development opportunities in various regions and practice areas
  • Assist with proposal review and delivery

Expectations

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in the workplace
  • Follow a consistent, regular working schedule of at least 30 hours per week
  • Complete projects and tasks in a timely manner by established deadlines
  • Meet weekly with direct manager and provide tasks and project updates
  • Willingness to learn and grow as a leader and professional

Qualifications 

  • 2-Year Associate's Degree or Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience conducting research, writing and editing reports
  • Intermediate experience with Google Workspace and Sheets 
  •  Self-starter, creative and motivated 
  • Works well alone and in a team environment 
  • Proven organization and time management skills with excellent attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using and managing the Google suite of cloud products 
  • Background in Public Health or other health-related fields

Travel: 

  • There is no anticipated travel for this role.
