PUBLIC SQUARE FILMS, an award-winning production company, is excited to announce an endowed fellowship position for an exceptional candidate seeking to gain experience in all aspects of production on a major feature documentary.
We are interested in interviewing Russian-speaking TGNC (Trans, Gender Non Conforming) candidates for this paid position.
About the position:
The fellow will take on a full range of responsibilities on our current film project as we move from filming to the post-production phase. This will likely include transcription and logging, archival and story research, post-production assistance for our edit team, and work with other departments as needed. Responsibilities can be adapted somewhat to the successful candidate’s experience and interest. Russian-language competency is a requirement for this position.
This is an early career but not an entry-level opportunity. The ideal candidate will have already completed at least one documentary film or journalism project in a paid position and/or graduate-level coursework.
The fellowship is intended to last six months, from mid-June to mid-December, with a full- or near full-time workload. The exact schedule will be agreed on based on the fellow’s availability.
How to apply:
Please send your resume and cover letter to email@example.com by June 1, 2018. Early applications are encouraged: we will begin interviewing as soon as we have received appropriate application materials.
Tell us what skills, experiences, interests, activism, and social media know-how you bring to the table. We are especially eager to hear about your strengths in research, reporting, media management, video editing, and outreach and engagement.
Public Square Films is proud to be an affirmative action/equal opportunities company.
Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to hearing from you.
