Prince's Trust USA seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist in development and nonprofit administration work. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of nonprofit work, especially in a growing, fast-paced environment. This is a professional skills internship to assist the Operations and Development Manager in all aspects of the nonprofit, including but not limited to fundraising, communications, event planning, financial and administrative work. The Intern will work independently and as part of the PTUSA team to fulfill organizational goals and initiatives.

 

Qualifications

·      Working toward a college or graduate degree, preferably in a related field

·      Tech savvy and computer literate (knowledge of Microsoft, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe)

·      Experience working with a CRM, Salesforce a plus

·      Eager to learn about donor research and nonprofit management.

·      Possess excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills

·      Genuine enthusiasm and commitment for PTUSA mission

·      Self-starter, excellent time management, creative, with an ability to communicate in a professional    manner.

Responsibilities

·      Provide administrative help for the Operations and Development Manager.

·      Assist in writing newsletters and donor reports.

·      Research prospective donors and assist in cultivating new relationships with donors.

·      Update and maintain Prince's Trust’s social media calendar.

·      Manage social media calendar and help get content from other Prince’s Trust entities.

·      Help manage CRM and ensure donor information is current and up-to-date.

·      Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and tools.

·      Aid in event preparation (gala, donor dinners, etc).

·      Help Manager with preparing receipts, agreements, and other donor communication.

·      Provide support for various projects

 

Hours: 10-15 hours/week. Internship will be in-person beginning in Fall 2021. Some evenings for events may be needed.

 

Compensation: $15/hour and school credit if applicable.
