Description

Older Adults Technology Services (OATS), a rapidly expanding social impact organization, seeks a dynamic Program Coordinator to support the delivery of Senior Planet Colorado programming. Senior Planet’s online and in-person programs engage members with digital culture and new technologies.

This position is a unique opportunity for a passionate individual to work with OATS to empower older adults by harnessing technology to change the way we age. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for acting as a liaison between existing Program Partners and OATS, assisting with managing Senior Planet Colorado’s Technology Trainer team, and performing outreach to raise awareness of OATS’s programming and develop new partnership opportunities. This position will also teach OATS’s curriculum using books, online resources, and lecture materials specifically designed for older adults.

This full-time position requires proficiency in common software applications and devices, but even more important is a passion for connecting with older adults and the ability to effectively communicate the relevancy of technology to their lives. Successful candidates will possess a high degree of organizational skills, creativity, dependability, and problem-solving, along with a sense of humor and a strong commitment to social change.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate scheduling of Senior Planet programs with organizations in Senior Planet Colorado’s partner network

- Assist the Associate Director of Programs and Rural Initiatives with managing Senior Planet Colorado’s Technology Trainer team

- Support day-to-day program operations as assigned

- Identify opportunities in the community to serve as an ambassador for Senior Planet and develop new partnerships

- Lead technology courses, workshops, and lectures

- Data entry in Salesforce database

- Other duties as assigned by Associate Director of Programs and Rural Initiatives

Qualifications:

- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in program delivery and/or program operations

- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in partnership development

- Competence with Windows computers, iOS, popular social media sites, and other common technologies/devices

- Excellent speaking and writing skills

- Experience in community outreach and grassroots organizing

- Experience teaching teenagers, adults, and/or seniors

- Ability to clearly communicate technical information

- Fluency in other languages, especially Spanish, is a plus

- Superior time-management skills

- Able to travel between locations in Metro Denver, including access to a vehicle
