Successful applicant may work some in-person work days and some remote work days, year-round (TBD) in Los Angeles, CA. Not a fully remote position.  COVID-19 Vaccination is required. Masks are worn at the direction of the CEO per City/County guidelines.

 POSITION SUMMARY:

Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles (JBBBSLA) is currently seeking a talented individual for the position of Annual Giving Manager, who will play a key role in helping the agency reach its fundraising goals. The Annual Giving Manager will oversee all fundraising events, annual giving, monthly giving, and other donor engagement efforts. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, dynamic professional with proven success in fundraising, knowledge of the Los Angeles Jewish community, as well as other philanthropic and corporate sectors.  Will work both remotely and in office, number of days TBD.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

·        Manage a personal portfolio of approximately 100 current donors and prospects and ensure that timely steps are taken toward cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, with an emphasis on annual and event donors.

·        Create, coordinate and implement annual giving strategies and solicitations to successfully meet annual fundraising goals.

·        Assist with logistics and solicitations for all fundraising events including our annual gala, golf tournament, and brunch & family day.

·        Develop new initiatives to increase fundraising from current and prospective donors.

·        Assist with gift batching, gift acknowledgements, receipts, and other administrative duties as needed.

·        Create, expand and manage a monthly giving program.

·        Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree and a minimum of five years of experience working in a fundraising environment.
  • Proven and successful track record of personal solicitation and program management.
  • Very strong written communication skills for a variety of projects, including solicitation letters, newsletters, email and web communications.
  • Experience cultivating high-level relationships with donors and board members.
  • Strong skills related to Raiser’s Edge or a comparable CRM database.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
  • Personal commitment to the mission and values of the organization. Passionate about helping children in Los Angeles.
  • Experience planning and soliciting for fundraising events.

JBBBSLA offers a compensation package that includes a competitive salary range commensurate with experience.
