    Description

    Join our dynamic and ambitious team that is charged with growing Catholic Charities' annual giving approach and expanding our donor base to deepen investment in our human services mission. This position is for an energetic, creative professional eager to help bring an established fundraising program to a higher level. 

    Essential Functions of the position are detailed below and include any physical requirements below that.

    Donor Cultivation and Engagement:

    1. Identify, cultivate, and steward a portfolio of annual fund donors.
    2. Build and maintain strong relationships with donors through personalized communication, meetings, events, and other engagement activities.
    3. Collaborate with Major Giving, Data/Research, Mission Engagement, Volunteer Management, Events, and other teams to identify Annual Giving prospects.
    4. Work with Donor Relations on briefs and execution of stewardship events.

    Direct Mail and Digital Fundraising Campaigns:

    Contribute to the planning, execution, and evaluation of direct mail and digital fundraising and advertising campaigns, including personalized appeals, giving days, and online giving platforms. Collaborate with donor relations and communications staff to develop compelling fundraising materials and content.

    Data Analysis and Reporting:

    Utilize software and tools to track and analyze appeal performance, donor data, and gift history. Create reports and communicate insights internally to inform strategy and decision-making.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    Relevant Education:

    Preferred: Bachelor's Degree

    Minimum: Bachelor's Degree

    Relevant Experience:

    Preferred: 4-6 years

    Minimum: 2-4 years

    Qualifications and Skills:

    Preferred: 5 years of experience in annual fund, with demonstrated success in creating and launching annual fund appeals, engagement strategies, cultivating and stewarding donors, and managing Blackbaud Raiser's Edge.

    Minimum: At least 3 years of experience in annual giving, with demonstrated success in creating and launching annual fund appeals, engagement strategies, cultivating and stewarding donors, and managing donor databases (especially Raiser's Edge).

    Knowledge of Annual Fund Principles:

    Familiarity with the principles and best practices of annual giving, including direct mail campaigns, online giving, phonathons, giving days, and other fundraising techniques commonly used to raise unrestricted funds from individual donors.

    Donor Relations:

    Experience in building and maintaining relationships with donors and other key stakeholders. Ability to effectively engage and communicate with a socially, culturally, and economically diverse range of individuals and communities.

    Data Analysis:

    Proficiency in utilizing software and databases to analyze donor patterns, track giving trends, and inform fundraising strategies. Interpret data and generate reports to drive decision-making.

    Communication Skills:

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey the Mission and goals of Catholic Charities, develop compelling fundraising appeals, and engage with potential donors. Proficiency in crafting fundraising materials, including direct mail letters, emails, and social media content.
