The Norfolk SPCA is seeking a Shelter Operations Director. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Shelter Operations Director serves as a member of the senior leadership team and is responsible for managing Norfolk SPCA’s day-to-day operations of the shelter, as well as leading a highest-quality adoptions program. The Shelter Operations Director oversees the implementation of shelter goals that furthers the Norfolk SPCA mission. Work involves ensuring the safety, sanitation and health of animals being cared for by the Norfolk SPCA along with providing staff oversight and training, report preparation and managing expenses. Animal care and customer service must be of the highest and most humane standards. The Shelter Operations Director shall continually seek to improve adoption numbers while not sacrificing the quality of adopting homes. All of this activity is to be undertaken without much need for oversight from the Executive Director and through harmonious relationships with other staff. Please send resume, cover letter and any inquiries to
