Greater Boston Interfaith Organization (GBIO) is a dynamic, rapidly-growing non-profit looking for a part-time office manager in Boston (20 hrs/week on average). GBIO organizes community leaders throughout the Greater Boston area to fight for social justice. The ideal Office Manager is interested in a career in non-profit administration and is able to work independently, keeping the office running smoothly and communicating effectively (in person and by email) with office staff and community leaders. Some of the work can be done remotely. Workload varies throughout the year and is generally busiest Oct-Dec and the week of large events (actions/trainings).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·      Act as main hub for online database: keep records up to date, send lists to organizers and leaders by request, send periodic emails to membership lists.

·      Visit office weekly to process checks. Track dues and donations using spreadsheets and online database. Send thank you letters to donors.

·      Coordinate logistics/materials for large actions (typically 3-4 times per year). 

·      Coordinate logistics/food for 3-day trainings (typically 1-2 times per year). 

·      Miscellaneous office tasks: typing and mailing correspondence, ordering supplies, coordinating meetings, and more.

·      In-person staff meetings twice a month with dynamic and passionate colleagues.

·      In-person meetings with supervisor weekly or bi-weekly.

·      Support Lead Organizer/Executive Director with filing, email, and other tasks.

·      Assist with communications (newsletter, social media posts, website updates, annual report)

QUALIFICATIONS:

·      Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, email, and quick to learn new technologies and processes.

·      Detail-oriented and accurate, while also able to see the big picture.

·      Excellent personal accountability and follow through.

·      Comfortable asking for help.

·      Strong interpersonal and communication skills

·      Strong writing skills.

·      Must own a personal computer and/or smart phone.

COMPENSATION:

·      Compensation is hourly and commensurate with experience.

·      GBIO/Metro IAF provides excellent training.
