Overall purpose of the position: In this role the employee will be responsible for coordinating, hosting and monitoring Youth Program partners to maintain MFB compliance standards. The employee will be required to travel to specific locations throughout the state. Knowledge of computers and their operations is required as is the ability to quickly and accurately enter and maintain the relevant data to produce reporting for Youth Programs.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. A combination of social services work and education will be considered.
Experience: At least 1-2 years of social work required, early childhood education work is preferred. A valid driver’s license is required as well as an MVR showing no prior DUI/DWI’s and fewer than 2 points against the license. The ability to read, write and speak English is required. Computer proficiency required.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
School Pantry/Heart Markets: Provide day to day management of School Pantry program. Develop relationships with SPP site representatives at each school and provide ongoing technical assistance to site coordinators to increase parental volunteers and food distribution. Plan/administer volunteer training sessions for all site coordinators. Track and report statistical information regarding progress of School Pantry program. Track fund disbursement, food distribution, and food usage of the program. Identify and network with other local anti-hunger/nutrition education groups.
Supper(CACFP)/Summer Food Service Program(SFSP): Provide overall day to day assistance in monitoring and site evaluation to maintain MSDE compliance.
Reporting: Create the monthly and quarterly reports required by MFB and Feeding America,
Essential Working Conditions:
The employee will carry out some of the job duties from a professional office environment with little fluctuation in temperatures and low noise but will carry out the rest of the job duties at client sites. For these offsite duties, the employee travels by automobile and will exposed to changing weather and noise conditions. Will be required to drive throughout Maryland counties for meetings and/or visits to various sites.
