Recruitment is taking place for the following position:  Senior Manager, Development Operations

 Summary: 

Reporting to the Chief of Development, this position will be responsible for all aspects of fundraising operations, including grant submissions, gift processing, campaign production, database management and event support. The Manager of Development Operations will also help with writing and producing fundraising materials.

  Principal Accountabilities:

Programmatic Responsibilities: Develop, execute, measure and report impact of the following programs:

·        External Appeals – Working with consultant team, develop and submit grants to foundations and companies to support programmatic and operational needs of the ATS.

·        Annual Research Program Benefit – Work with meeting services team for the largest fundraiser of the year for the ATS Research Program.

·        Assembly Challenge - Working in collaboration with the Assembly staff, create a fundraising toolkit and impactful social media outreach.

·        Live/Virtual Lung Run fundraiser – held in conjunction with Leadership Summit, including marketing and peer-to-peer fundraising; manage event logistics in partnership with other ATS staff and vendors.

·        Monthly Giving Program – Foster and grow monthly donors; develop and execute initiatives to encourage new donors to join.

·        Staff Giving Campaign - Design and execute marketing plan to incentivize staff donations.

·        Other funds and campaigns as assigned.

 Operational Responsibilities:

·        Manage Salesforce donor database and gift acknowledgments. Ensure data consistency and quality.

·        Analyze and compile metrics on ATS fundraising efforts to share with Funds for the Future Committee and ATS leadership.

·        Work with Communications and Creative Services Teams on promoting donor programs.

·        Staff the ATS Funds for the Future Committee.

·        Production management for mail pieces.

 ATS International Conference Responsibilities: Develop, execute, measure and report impact of the following activities at the ATS International Conference:

·        ATS Donor Appreciation Suite: Determine suite amenities, design and logistics – working closely with Meeting Services Team.

·        Annual ATS Research Program Benefit: Assist in the planning of the Annual Research Program Benefit, including promotion, signage, managing event RSVP’s with registration vendor.

·        Manage VIP donor hotel block.

·        Plan and execute Meet and Greet event for past awardees, ATS leadership and major donors.

·        Create all conference related signage for donor recognition, donation appeals and for the Research Program Benefit.

Donor Cultivation, Stewardship and Retention:

·        Oversee all gift acknowledgements including mailing of tax receipt and pledge payment reminders.

·        Manage stewardship and donor recognition program for our highest-level donors.

·        Manage list of thank you cards and officer/committee outreach when indicated.

·        Develop the Donor Honor Roll annually.

·        Prepare and provide donors with fund reports and updates.

·        Oversee department inbox and respond to donor inquiries and concerns.

Supervisory Responsibilities

·        Oversee legal firm for state charity registrations and work with conference vendors and internal service departments for successful events and initiatives that maximize revenue and are on budget.

Required Business Travel

·        Attend the ATS International Conference, as well as other meetings as needed.

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years of experience, preferably in a fundraising, communications, marketing, or nonprofit environment

·        Database experience required; Salesforce experience required

·        Advanced skills in word will include mail merge; Advanced skills in Excel will include links to different spreadsheets, data filters and formulas, and produce graphs and charts. Advanced skills in PowerPoint will include graphs and charts imported from Excel files.

·        Excellent writing skills; Articulate in communicating with researchers, clinicians, and other professionals as well as the general public

·        Ability to work autonomously, as part of a team, and across departments

·        Ability to shift gears and prioritize among projects; Ability to analyze and problem solve, and attention to detail are all required.

·        Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills; Exceptional customer service skills
