Goucher College is a small liberal arts college in Towson, near Baltimore, with a current undergraduate population around 1450. 25-30% of the students identify as Jewish, making Goucher one of the top 5 liberal arts schools in the country in terms of Jewish population per capita. 

Goucher Hillel is seeking a high-energy, results-driven individual to join their team as a part-time Development Coordinator. The individual in this role will provide direct operational and administrative support to the Executive Director, 10-12 hours per week, with the ability to work remotely.

Your Key Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Support the ongoing implementation and development of an annual fundraising plan in tandem with the Executive Director and Development Committee.
  • Identify and articulate effective development strategies for multiple segments, including alumni, parents, and community members.
  • Coordinate communications in tandem with Goucher Hillel and Goucher College Communications office.
  • Maintain and update records of gifts and pledges in Database to share with staff and board members, in coordination with Goucher College’s Office of Advancement and The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore.
  • Coordinate the development calendar with Goucher College Advancement, Hillel Staff and the Development Committee.
  • Organize a major donor management tool as an instrument for staff and board to coordinate stewardship and solicitation in an organized and thoughtful way.
  • Coordinate and provide data lists, phoning cards, letters, and scripts for mail solicitations and calls.
  • Support the launch of a legacy giving program among the most dedicated donors to Goucher Hillel.
  • Promote monthly giving and corporate matching.
  • Conduct calls to key staff and board members to set priorities and follow up when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Note: Additional support may be needed during December through January and May through June. A willingness and ability to work a flex schedule is essential.

Minimum Education/Experience/Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of work-related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook- strong aptitude for learning database systems.
  • Ability to learn quickly and prioritize multiple projects and activities.
  • Team player with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Takes initiative and is goal driven.
  • Commitment to the mission, vision, cultural values, and expectations of Goucher Hillel
