Reporting to the Executive Director, the Community Partnerships Manager will be responsible for developing and strengthening DCFNE’s relationships with healthcare, victim services, and other community partners. She/he will be responsible for assisting with development and implementation of educational modules, maintaining and improving communication with partners and the community, and creating systems for incorporating community feedback and program evaluation into DCFNE’s programs.


  • Maintain a schedule of outreach and trainings for staff at all District hospitals
  • Develop and implement strategies for engaging community partners in DCFNE’s programs and create opportunities for collaboration
  • Manage relationship with DCFNE's program evaluation consultant and oversee program evaluation
  • Develop educational and informational materials
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and participate in community events and programs
  • Network, maintain, and expand partnerships with other community organizations, particularly healthcare, mental health, and victim services providers
  • Represent DCFNE in coalitions, project teams, and other meetings as needed
  • Assist with implementation of DCFNE’s communications and development plans, including managing social media strategy
  • Other tasks as assigned


  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Nursing, Public Health or a related field
  • At least two years of experience in community outreach or education, public health, macro social work, or non-profit program development
  • Understanding of the dynamics of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and other types of violence preferred
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting or understanding of the healthcare system
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking
  • Ability to relate to a diverse group of professionals and stakeholders
  • Ability to travel in the Washington, DC metropolitan area by personal car or public transportation
