Role Purpose:
Clinician will support individuals and families, most of whom are low-income and have a history of complex trauma. In this role you will provide thorough assessment, develop individualized service plans, employ a wide range of treatment modalities (eg. psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused CBT, Solution Focused Therapy), utilize engagement skills to maintain both short and long-term relationships with clients, identify resources, complete referrals to outside agencies, and consult with collaterals to enhance service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with individuals who are identified/referred through the clinical department.
- Collaborate with clients to develop service plans, with outcomes varying dependent on client needs and goals.
- Provide therapeutic sessions, referrals, and other case management tasks as needed. The frequency of meeting and duration of therapeutic relationship will vary on a case-by-case basis.
- Manage case load consisting of individual clients, therapeutic groups, and intern supervision if appropriate
- Collaborate closely with the Clinical team, other Housing Families programs/staff, and outside providers as needed to ensure holistic, thorough, and sustainable service delivery.
- Occasionally travel to different shelters to meet clients in the spaces that best support them.
- Work through a strength based and trauma informed lens.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation in adherence to the Clinical Timeline for each client.
- Provide crisis management for clients during work hours, as needed.
- Work with clients to safety plan by identifying supports they can access after hours, as needed.
- Maintain appropriate therapeutic boundaries with clients.
- Adhere to all Housing Families Protocols and Policies.
- Attend weekly supervision with the Associate Director of the Care Collective.
- Utilize time management skills to organize individual schedule.
- Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and interns.
- Serve as a mentor for counseling interns and attend case reviews to provide support and supervision. Supervise clinical interns, as needed, and support in group supervision.
- Be available for consultation with case managers, clinicians, and clinical interns.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to provide support to staff as they debrief critical incidents.
- Collaborate and support the EnrichEd! Program staff and clients on an as needed basis.
- Model DEIB Values to all staff, interns, volunteers, and clients.
- Participate in All Staff meetings and other identified agency trainings and meetings.
- Help with special projects.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications:
- Masters’ degree in social work, mental health counseling, or related field
- LCSW required; LICSW or LMHC preferred
- Prior experience working with low-income individuals and families required
- Prior experience in a supervisory position preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams
- Excellent communication and engagement skills
- Attention to detail and time management skills
- Possess knowledge of domestic violence, trauma and trauma-informed care, and substance use dependencies.
- Fluent in English

Eligibility Requirements:
- Ability to form strong interpersonal relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must be fluent in English
- Must be willing to travel in the Greater Boston Area and to Housing Families Shelters/program site for clinical meetings, sessions, and supervision.
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week and adapt schedule to meet the needs of individual clients and program requirements.
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and Sex Offender Registry Information (SORI) background check
Physical Requirements:
· Be willing to move program supplies and equipment
· Be willing to remain in a stationary position for a prolonged period
