The mission of Tech Goes Home is to empower communities to access and use digital tools to overcome barriers and advance lives. In 2019, TGH graduated more than 5,500 individuals. The Program Support Coordinator will assume responsibility for supporting TGH partners and instructors, learners, and program events management across the Greater Boston area. This position will be supervised by the Program Manager.

Partner and Instructor Support

  • Support the Assistant Manager of Partnerships with managing partnerships and instructors
  • Address questions and concerns from instructors related to onboarding and orientation in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist in the matching and onboarding volunteers with special projects (webinars, curriculum development...etc.)
  • Participate in course approvals
  • Assist the Program Manager with webinars, curriculum development, website updates, and curriculum support for instructors
  • Work with the Program Manager to develop professional development opportunities for instructors to improve program quality and digital skills
  • Ensure that new partners and instructors have the most up-to-date information related to application eligibility, application status, and TGH program information
  • Work with the Program Manager to update TGH website’s program pages with accuracy and timeliness
  • Assist in developing content for the partner and instructor newsletter
  • Update and maintain the Salesforce database related to partner and instructor application processes and procedures​

Program Events Support

  • Event coordination, scheduling, securing space, registration, participant management, tracking attendees, monitoring event, and webinars
  • Provide consistent communication between TGH, attendees, and guest speakers​

General Inquiries

  • Address general inquiries and comments through our info email account and phone account in an accurate and timely manner
  • Support potential learners by making referrals for TGH classes
  • Triaging inquiries to appropriate TGH team members

Thought Leadership

  • Find authentic and appropriate ways to learn from program graduates with lived experience to inform program success
  • Recommend improvements to increase program operational efficiency and effectiveness​

Experience

In addition to personal qualities like resourcefulness, dedication, attention to detail, and a sense of humor, candidates should demonstrate the following:

  • A strong commitment to the mission of TGH and a passion for helping people improve their lives.
  • Self-starter with the ability to be very organized and follow through on projects independently
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to get projects done
  • Attention to detail in tracking projects, communicating without typos, and ensuring even small items are not overlooked or rushed.
  • Fluency in using Google Suite Applications
  • Previous experience in maintaining systems, organizing materials, tracking and meeting deadlines
  • A roll up your sleeves attitude where all work is valued and all constituents are treated with patience and respect.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • While the COVID-19 crisis continues, the ability to work from home, independently organizing one’s time, meeting deadlines, and taking initiative.
  • Salesforce knowledge a plus
  • Knowledge of a second language a plus (Mandarin, Arabic, Spanish, Haitian Creole)
  • Experience with video conferencing a plus
  • Prior experience on a hotline, call center, or customer service center a plus
  • A positive attitude and robust sense of humor goes a long way!
